# Compliance and standards

NBT is built around a simple idea: say who we are, respect the site's rules and do not pretend a block means “try another way”.

## Cloudflare BotBase

NBT intends to register with:

- access: **Intermediary**
- verification: **Request Signature / Web Bot Auth**
- User-Agent: `NBTBot/1.0 (+https://nbt.bot/)`
- match pattern: `NBTBot`
- behaviours: **Monitoring & Operations** and **SEO**
- content use: **reference**
- model training: **no**

Web Bot Auth is live. BotBase has not been submitted yet, so NBT does not claim Cloudflare Verified status.

## Shopify

NBT signs direct Shopify storefront crawling and can use merchant-provided domain-bound crawler approval. Signing does not override store or Cloudflare protection.

## Site-owner rules

robots.txt, Crawl-delay, Content Signals, customer scope and site/provider pressure can all restrict or stop a test.
